Meet Pat Smith.
She hates me doing this to her, I’m sure. The only time she likes being recognized is at raise time. I’m sorry Pat, but this will have to do. Kidding……just kidding.
What can I say about this gal? She’s been our right hand and we’re right handed. I have started two companies and she has been with me at both as well as the former company, where we all started in this industry. She’s either dedicated or crazy. I prefer dedicated. Pat is from Concord, NC and resides there still. She recently purchased a new home and is her family’s caregiver, all of whom live in Concord.
She loves the mountains and dark old forests. Once, as a teenager, she traveled and worked her way across the country and back by herself. Those were her “Wanderlust” years as she calls it. Of course she had the wild ‘60’s hairdo thing going on and it was around the time of Woodstock.
Pat has settled way down since then and has two daughters who are grown, married with their own lives to live, if their mother would let them. Kidding! She keeps us on track from her position as Manager, Customer Service. Quoting small to large programs along with entering orders, some purchasing, tracking inventory and writing releases on our fulfillment clients, speaking to clients and vendors are just part of her day. Did I mention being detailed oriented? “There’s a reason all that verbiage is on the job jackets”, says Pat. Let someone occasionally gloss over something that is on the order, in BOLD type and highlighted …..and well……..look out. I have worked with Pat since 1975. We know her pretty well and love her more. She is a sweet spirit but don’t cross her. She’s a major asset to our group. If you need to speak to someone who is on top of things here at Red Pepper, she’d be a good one.
